I saw this topic from 6 years ago and I can’t find an answer to it. I am trying to condense an org chart where I have one manager that has multiple direct reports and makes the chart appear way too long.
I would like to be able to break the employees in to two branches under the same manager.

Thanks for reaching out! At this time, Lucid does not support splitting a single manager’s direct reports into two separate branches or columns within an org chart. By default, all direct reports will be placed in a single row beneath their manager.
That said, there are a couple of workarounds you may find helpful:
Vertical layout style: Select your org chart, open the panel on the right, navigate to the Layout tab, and choose the vertical layout option. This can help condense wide rows of direct reports and make the chart easier to view.
Manual adjustments: If you exit the org chart editor and use regular shapes from the shape panel, you can arrange them under the manager in whichever configuration you prefer. Adding connector lines manually allows you to simulate multiple branches for visual clarity.
