Sorting Within Groups for Org Charts

When I create a Group View of an org chart, I noticed that the names in the groups are sorted alphabetically.  Is there a way to change the sort order?  I would like to sort by something else, like labor grade or mobilization date.

Hi @BadBatzMan

The default sorting is alphabetical by name.

Sorting within groups for the Group View in org charts is not possible at this time.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

HI @BadBatzMan ,

Try this:

  • create another column in your dataset - “Name Real”
  • transform your existing “Name” column so that it has the sort order that you want
    • Andy Capp → ZZZ Andy Capp
    • Matt Damon → MMM Matt Damon
    • Zendaya Smith → AAA Zendaya Smith
  • on the org chart display “Name Real” instead of “Name”
