Hi everyone,

I have created a very long document within Lucidchart. When I export to pdf, I cannot see a large proportion of the document. It cuts it off and is unable to scroll to view. Does anyone have a solution for this, please? I have also tried in Lucidspark - same issue. Many thanks.

Best wishes,

Pippa

Hi Pippa,

This is very likely happening because your canvas is wider than the standard PDF page boundaries, so the export is cutting off content outside those limits.

One direct route you can take is:

1. Turn off Infinite Canvas

  • Go to Menu → File → Settings → Document Settings (or press F4)

  • Uncheck “Infinite Canvas”

This will generate visible page breaks on your document so you can clearly see how the content will be divided when exported.

2. Reorganize to Fit Page Breaks
Once page boundaries are visible, resize and redistribute your content so it fits within those page tiles.
If the document is extremely wide, consider restructuring it vertically so it spans multiple pages downward rather than extending too far horizontally.

3. Export Using Page Tiles
When exporting to PDF, select “Divide by Page Tiles.”
This ensures the PDF respects the page boundaries you just defined instead of cutting off content.

Hope it helps!
