I have a smart table and a filter applied, but the filter is not working. I’ve tried editing it, removing it and re-applying it, and choosing a different filter and the smart table is not responding to anything.

Hi @Brittany Clarke, would you post a screen or two of your table and filter setup? In the past, I've seen things misbehave when data types are mismatched, but it's hard to diagnose without a visual. Loom would work too.

@Eric Padron I’m unable to post that information in a public forum, but if you reach out to my email address, we can work together from there.

@Brittany Clarke Understood. No need to share the actual asset. Do you experience the same issue if you try to recreate a tiny mock-up on a fresh canvas with dummy data? Think of starting with the smallest amount of variables and slowly adding them back in to assist with diagnosing the problem. The simpler the example, the easier it will be to figure out if we have a configuration issue, a data type issue, a filter logic issue, and so on. Let me know.

@Eric Padron Thank you for understanding! The same data, Smart Table, and filters do work correctly in a blank Lucidchart. But it still won’t work in the desired Lucidchart

@Brittany Clarke well that is interesting and I am stumped 🤔

@Eric Padron I ended up deleting the table and trying again, and it worked this time. Maybe it was just a bug in that table? who knows, but I appreciate the help!

Glad you got it working!

Hi @Brittany Clarke, so glad to hear this is working for you now after trying in a new table! Thanks @Eric Padron for your help and troubleshooting steps here too.

@Brittany Clarke, please don’t hesitate to post in this thread again if you encounter further problems with the table. I’ve also gone ahead and deleted your email just to protect your personal information on this public thread.

Let me know if you have any more questions and I’d be happy to take a closer look!
