I have tried many times to create a smart lines, but I never get the “blue halo” so it never works. I am just using simple flow chart shapes. Can I make smart lines the default? I don’t want dumb lines LOL. Can a dumb line be converted to a smart line after it is created?

To create a smart line, the line has to be pulled just past the edge in order for the shape to get the blue “halo” effect, instead of being dragged and dropped directly to the edge of the next shape.
