I’d like to recreate a classic dry erase board experience for my online zoom class. Desmos has a neat option that kind of mimicks this, shown here

Ideally the solution would include:

  1. Students working on their own, privately or in groups
  2. I can see what they are working on AND
  3. Somehow import the student’s work into the main room to show the larger group

I have a feeling that breakout boards will be the key here… but the part where they all reveal their answers is the portion I’m not expert enough to figure out…

Thank you!

Hi @LParker24

As you are aware of the first 4 step process,

Step1:

Start by creating a Lucidchart document

Step2:

Next, use Zoom's Breakout Rooms

Step3:

Then, students work in their breakout rooms

Step4:

Finally, Bring students back to the main Zoom room. Share their work using Lucidchart's sharing options.

To further reinforce your point - where they all reveal their answers is the portion,

See below for additional options to ensure a well-rounded approach

  • Opt for Group Sharing, the main document and switch between different groups sections
  • Polling or Surveys to collect responses from each group, then Share the results with the entire class to compare and discuss based on your convenience
  • Share the combined canvas with the class

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

Hi @LParker24, thanks for your post! Two additional resources I’ll add to @Humas1985’s post is our Collaborate with Breakout Boards in Lucid Help Center article, along with our Visual Activities feature to collect responses that can be shared with the class. I also recommend taking a look at this Community post (in English) for an example of Breakout Boards in action.
