Resizing organisational Chart

I’m trying to adjust the layout of an org chart so it fits on an A3 sheet of paper. As you can see above, it’s very horizontal. I was hoping to drag people down a bit to spread it out but that adjusts their line manager. If I drag the whole box down it just makes each individual box bigger but doesn’t spread them all out evenly.

Is there a way to manually move some people down and have the people under them also go down?

Hi @soong, thanks for posting! It’s not possible to individually move employee shapes without changing the reporting structure. However, to adjust the layout of your org chart you can click on a blank part of the canvas inside the org chart frame (don’t click on an employee shape) and go to the Layout tab that appears in the right hand panel. Under ‘Layout Style’ you can adjust the horizontal and vertical spacing sliders shown below. Hope this helps!

I do not have the Horizontal or Vertical Spacing bars. Please advise how I can have them appear in the “Layout Style” area.

Hi @stepnharp, thank you for continuing this thread! Our UI has been updated which is why the options appear slightly different. If you haven’t already, could you please try clicking on the text ‘Layout style’?

This should open up the options to adjust the layout style of your org chart, including the sliders for spacing (see screenshot below):

Thank you for your reply. I asked the Lucid AI this question, the AI answered stating there was an issue with the “Leaf design” and then corrected the issue.

The Horizontal or Vertical Spacing bars are now appearing correctly.
