I received an invitation to open a lucidchart document once I click on the button/link on the email it said "to view this document you need to be a member of the account it was shared from." I am using a company email and I believe my team is using a company email as well.
How do we resolve this problem?
Thanks!

Hey Meilly
Thank you for posting in the Lucid Community! In order to view this document the owner or "sharer" of the document will need to change the sharing privileges. This can be done by clicking on the Share icon and changing the dropdown menu to "anyone with link."
Hope this helps--if not feel free to respond here or reach out to our Support Team directly at support@lucidchart.com. Cheers!
I’ve tried this several times and it doesn’t work.
Any suggetions?
Hi @RickMoore,
Thank you for your post! Do you mind expanding a bit more on your issue? Are you the owner of the document? Have you reached out to the owner to change the sharing permissions?
I’ve just made a document and shared it but I get the "to view this document you need to be a member of the account it was shared from." error message.
I am the owner of the document and have shared it to someone in my organisation with the same email domain. I have made it so they can edit the document too. I’ve also tried sending the document to my personal email address and get the same result.
I can’t see any security options as quoted in other posts from users that have the same problem.
Can you help please?
Hi @RickMoore, Thank you for clarifying the issue. I would be happy to assist you.
Since you don’t see the share options, could you try opening your document in a private or incognito window to help us narrow down the potential cause? Could you also try connecting to a different network or disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable)? Sometimes account performance issues can be related to internet security/speed or browser issues. These steps will help us eliminate that possibility. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post (in English).
If those don’t resolve the problem, can you please send the following information so I can take a closer look?

Thanks in advance for your help and patience!
Hi
I can see the share options but when I share the document it comes up with an error for anyone else who I want to be able to edit it.
I’ve tried the incognito window and the same share options are there. however, when I share it says "to view this document you need to be a member of the account it was shared from.
Hi @RickMoore, Thank you for clarifying! Can you provide a support pin for this document? This will allow me to take a closer look at the issue you’re experiencing. For more information on generating a Support PIN, check out this Help Center article.
