My Lucid diagram is very slow

I am having a persistent performance issue with my diagram to the extent that it is very laggy and makes it difficult to edit the diagram with any efficient.

I would have attached the performance report but there doesn’t seem to be a way to attach it to the description.

Hi @BitMeByte, thank you for posting in the community and @Humas1985 for sharing resources here!

As a first step, please see our Troubleshooting: Performance and live collaboration article from the Lucid Help Center for steps to resolve slowness in the Lucid editor.

There are a few additional things worth trying when experiencing slowness:

  • What browser are you using? Lucid is optimized for Google Chrome, so if you haven't already, please try the feature in that browser to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Also, try opening your document in a Chrome Incognito browsing session. This often improves performance by clearing your cache and cookies and disabling your extensions.
  • Having many page tabs, large canvases on each tab, and a high number of shapes on each canvas all increase the time it takes to load and update when changes are made. If you are working on a very large document, you may consider breaking it into several smaller documents to improve performance.

If the issue is still happening, could you please share a temporary Document Support PIN for this document? This will help me take a closer look at what’s going on. This PIN is safe to post in this thread because it is only accessible by members of the Lucid support staff. You can find steps for generating a Support PIN in this Lucid Help Center article: Generate a Lucid Support PIN.

Thanks for your help and patience! Please let me know if you have any questions.
