Migrate Lucidchart & Confluence Cloud Macros

Hi Community,

I have couple of question.

We are using lucidchart diagram connector confluence plugin on one confluence cloud instance.

  1. Now we are migrating the confluence space data from one confluence instance to another confluence cloud instance. so after migration can we fix the lucidchart macro and make it work with the existing lucid chart diagram?

Another Use Case:

2. Migrate the Diagram from one lucid chart account to another account and then migrate the confluence from one cloud instance to another cloud instance and link the confluence lucid chart macro to the new lucid account diagrams.

Is this possible? if possible then how?

Thanks,
Sachin

Hi @sachin.dhamale, thank you for posting in the Lucid Community!

Our add-on isn't built to support migrating from one Confluence Cloud instance to another, so in order to have your diagrams display after you migrate instances, you will need to reinsert them. This is needed in order to have the URL associated with that diagram point to your new instance, rather than your old one. This will allow them to display correctly in the frame.

Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Hi @Leianne C ,

Could you please let us know how we can identify where the plugin has been used in Confluence? Is there a way to find all the Confluence pages where the plugin is currently being used?

Hi @Sanjen, thank you for continuing this thread! In order for the inserted documents to display, your team will need to re-insert the macros by following the Add a Lucid document to a Confluence page steps - this is the same when inserting diagrams normally.

You can use the Confluence search function to locate pages containing Lucidchart diagrams. In the Confluence search bar, type macroName:lucidchart. This should pull up all pages with Lucidchart macros on them.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Dear @Leianne C,

We are currently planning the migration from Confluence Cloud to Cloud and need to understand the process for migrating the Lucid plugin data.

Could you please help us with the following information on priority:

  • What is the process for migrating the Lucid plugin data during the Confluence migration?

  • How can we identify the number of Confluence pages where the Lucid plugin is currently being used?

  • Are there any specific prerequisites or considerations we should be aware of before proceeding with the migration?

Your guidance on this would be greatly appreciated, as we need to assess the impact and plan the migration accordingly.

Regards,
Sanjen
