why can’t you edit a measurement with a fill in field. this is kinda annoy that i have to move the line to a size i want it to be vs just typing in the measurement.

Im kinda disappointed that a simple feature like that is not on the tool

Hi @jerrydidit, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! Sorry you’re having trouble with this but I’m happy to help.

To start out, we recommend you optimize your document settings for floor plans, as described in more detail here. For the best experience building and customizing your floor plan, we recommend disabling all “snapping” settings including: snap to objects, snap objects to grid, and snap to guides. Disabling these settings allows you to move floor plan shapes more precisely.

I also recommend the use of the scale tool and scale shape.

Unfortunately, you are correct that typing in exact measurements is not currently supported. Wall measurements are automatically populated based on the scale of the document and size of the wall. As a workaround, you can hide the measurement and add a textbox with a custom measurement.

However, we highly value your feedback and are continually committed to improving our products. If you’d like to leave product feedback on this topic, we’d love to hear from you in the thread below!
