Question

Lucidscale Account contained items sorting not working

In a LucidScale diagram, when the selecting ‘Layout for all accounts’ for a collapsed view of an account, the sorting doesn’t work for the list of categories.

If the Account is expended, and non-regional services do sort based on the sort configuration, but the Regions nor the categories contained in the region are affected by the sorting.

The result is inconsistent viewing of categories across multiple accounts in the same view.

Hi @David Wilson

The Work with AWS infrastructure documents in Lucidscale (legacy experience) | Community documentation confirms that sorting is supported for contained items within LucidScale container resources such as Accounts and Regions. However, it does not specifically address how sorting should behave with “Layout for all accounts” or in collapsed Account views, so it cannot by itself be used to confirm that specific behavior.

Hope this helps !!

It sort of explains the behaviour, but not necessarily helps. I’ve attached a condensed view as an example.

Additionally, the interface is confusing. When I select the Cloud Container, the some of the grid settings work, but others don’t. e.g. the spacing and columns do, but the sorting doesn’t.

It would be more intuitive if controls are not displayed when they are not pertinent to the selected object.

Can I change this to a feature request for sorting in an Account collapsed view?
