Hi @amano ,
Thank you for posting in the community! Would you mind connecting to a different network to rule out any connection issues? Could you also try opening the Google Doc/Slide/Sheet in an incognito window to rule out browser interference?
If the issue persists, please send the following information:
A screenshot of the associated Javascript Console output after reproducing the issue. You can open your Javascript Console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + J (if your computer is a Windows / Linux) OR Cmd + Opt + J (if your computer is a Mac). A screenshot of the issue and the error code you are receiving. In the mean time, please review our Google Add-on article from the Lucid Help Center. I f you’d like to see the functionality of Google Add-ons and what it looks like, take a look at this Community Post .
Thanks!
Hi Sierra,
I have tried doing this on my home network and work network same result. I also tried incognito mode and it will sometimes work on updating but still get the same error.
I will also add that the Browse Documents works great and inserting through that had no issues. Only the Update images button does not seem to function correctly.
Hi @amano ,
Thank you for providing that information. Since there are no known issues with this feature, please try removing the Lucidchart add-on and then reinstalling it.
You can follow the steps in this Help Center article to remove and reinstall Lucid add-ons for Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Please let me know is this does not fix the issue.
Thanks!
Hi Sierra,
I have tried to reinstall the add-on and still getting same error.
Hi @amano ,
Thank you for trying that and for your patience while we troubleshoot this issue.
Could you please try inserting the same Lucid document or board into a fresh Google Slides presentation/Google Doc, and then attempt to update the image? Additionally, could you try inserting a different Lucid document into a new Google Slides or Doc and see if you're able to update the image?
This will help us determine whether the issue is related to a specific Lucid document.
Hi Sierra,
I think I narrowed it down, I created a new slide deck with just 1 Lucidchart. I am able to use the update images button without any issue and don’t get the error. I think the big difference is that I have ~20 lucidcharts in this original slide deck and it may be running into an error due to the larger number of updates when I press the Update Images button?
Hi @amano ,
Thank you so much for testing that out on your end. I do believe that is the issue. While we don't have an exact limit for the number of inserted documents that can be updated at once, it's possible that a limit has been reached in your presentation, causing the request to time out.
A recommended workaround is to reduce the number of inserted charts if you can, or to export the updated charts as images directly from Lucid and insert them where needed.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Hi @amano ,
I appreciate the feedback and completely understand the frustration. I've converted it to an idea here so that others can comment and upvote it. Thanks!
