Lucid automatically creates a blank page when drawing or typing

When i add a line or text that crosses over the border of a page LUCID opens a new drawing space, effectively another page. Sometimes i do not see this new space (page) has been created until i have finish my Lucid drawing. When i delete the offending line or text the blank page remains and i can find no way to get back to the single page format of the drawings. Even when confirming (CNTRL A) no objects have strayed across the border , it still remains.
