I have created a template with some swim lanes and a shape library for our teams to use so that we have a set of diagrams that look the same. I magnetised the swim lanes, but don’t think I applied anything else to the template. A user is trying to lock content in her own diagram which she created from the template but she can’t and gets the message that the template owner has prevented locking.

  1. any idea what I have done in my template and how I can remove it?
  2. is there anything I can do to support the user with her diagram now?

thanks

@S Duxbury your question is unique because it is from the perspective of the template owner and not the user. I would like to direct you to this thread that has a link that I think will help you:

There are other threads on this topic, but I thought you’d appreciate one with a clear answer rather than one with a lot of back and forth.

Hi @S Duxbury, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community!

Based on the behavior you are describing, it sounds like you may be working with Corporate Template. One thing to note with Corporate Templates, is that upon sharing, the creator can enforce locking restrictions, which would not allow users to lock/unlock shapes on boards created. (see attached screenshot)

Can you confirm that the template creator has removed this restriction? Once removed, any new boards created from the template should not run into the Locked error that you mentioned. So this will not apply to a board that has already been created, but your user’s content can be copied into a new copy of the template if needed. If this is not the case or you have any further questions, please let me know!

Additionally, thanks @aparrish for adding that resource here!
