I use Obsidian for notes and occasionally want to drop an iframe into a note that links to a Lucid drawing selection. I can copy “link to selection” for objects, but occasionally I cannot have a public link. It would force me to login which presents challenges when rendering the selection in the obsidian iframe. Does anyone know why a public link is only available sometimes in the share link options?

Can you clarify what do you mean by public link? What is method you are using to share link? To verify, are you using a sharable link option? Please provide a screenshot if possible.
If you are using a shareable link, I would recommend switching to publishing the document or embedding it in order to access in other locations. To publish a document, you can follow these steps:
- Open hamburger More menu from the top-left of the canvas.
- From the dropdown, click Publish.
- Select a publishing type from the dropdown (URL, PDF, or image).
- If you have selected to publish your document as an image file, choose your desired format and content quality.
- Click Generate Link, Publish Page, or Publish Selection to generate a URL or image file of the published document.
For the second option of embedding you can follow these steps:
- Open hamburger More menu from the top-left of the canvas.
- In Lucidchart, after opening the More menu, hover your cursor over “Share”.
- From the dropdown, select Embed.
- From the dropdown in the pop up window, select the size of your embed frame or create a custom size.
