Imported PDF thumbnails appear greyed out

Still battling with the import of .pdf thumbnails. To be fair the process is better than it was during my earlier issue 8 months ago. I am now thinking of cancelling my subscription to lucid and going with another solution. I import the .pdf and then switch to the second page. After some processing, i try to import the thumbnails, but after they are uploaded and frustratingly show the correct images they all turn to an error icon and I see “Image upload failed” error message.

I am consistently having the same error for several days. Below is the output I get after I import the thumbnails from a pdf.
