I’ve tried multiple times, following the directions in the Guide from the course exactly. Is it because the Chrome application is no longer supported, as I was informed first thing this morning?
Hi
Thanks for reaching out! I understand how frustrating it can be when things don’t work as expected.
The ability to copy and paste directly from Miro to Lucidspark can sometimes be impacted by factors such as format compatibility, browser settings, or recent software updates. While Lucidspark does support pasting content from other whiteboard tools, certain elements (like complex org charts with embedded data) may not transfer seamlessly.
Since you mentioned that Chrome application support has changed, this could be affecting clipboard functionality. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Use a Different Browser – If Chrome support is an issue, try Microsoft Edge or Firefox and see if the copy-paste function works better.
- Export from Miro First – Instead of direct copy-paste, try exporting the org chart from Miro as a PDF, PNG, or CSV file and then importing it into Lucidspark.
- Use Lucidspark’s Import Feature – If your org chart is structured as a CSV, you can use Lucidspark’s Smart Table feature to quickly build it within the platform.
- Check Clipboard Permissions – Some browsers restrict clipboard access for security reasons. Try clearing your cache and cookies or checking if Lucidspark has the necessary permissions in Chrome.
- Manually Rebuild Using Smart Containers – If copy-paste isn’t working as expected, Lucidspark’s Smart Containers and Auto-Connect Lines can help you recreate the org chart efficiently.
I hope this helps.
Thank you. I ended up importing as a PDF, which worked. I’ve had successful copy/paste boards since this one, so it was just this org chart that needed the other approach. I appreciate your response, along with all the tips and tricks.
