When I ask for certain operations in “Help | Feature Find” it pops up “Shape Options”.  That’s great, but how do I pop up shape options myself, without going through Feature find? I can’t find it in menus or the context menu.

@edgreenberg If you want a specific shape library to appear by default every time you open a new Lucidchart document, add it to your favorites by clicking the star icon in the top-right corner of the shape library.

Thanks for the reply, but this is not my question.  Let me restate.

When I ask for help and use the Feature Find tool, I am ‘helped’ by the appearance of a box as shown:

I’d like to know how to select a shape and pop this box up without going through the “Help | Feature Find” dialog.

Hi @edgreenberg, thank you for posting in the community and @aparrish for assisting!

Unfortunately, there isn’t a shortcut or hotkey to open Shape options. However if you click the pin icon in the top right corner shown in your screenshot, you can keep this window opened in your editor for easy access. I’ve added GIF demonstrating this as well:

I hope this helps! Feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you. You answered my question (inadvertently)  I didn’t need to KEEP the box open, just open it on demand without going through the help system. Your GIF showed me which toolbar icon did this.

  1. Select the shape
  2. Click the shape options icon, which I could not find.

Perfect.
