Panning should be easier, like visio or pdf panning. I would like to click and drag on the page to pan with my mouse/hand. The horizontal and vertical scroll bars mean navigation around the page is painfully slow.

You can pan the canvas by right- or middle-clicking the canvas, then dragging your mouse.
