I am working on an org chart created by someone else. Some of my employees have this”i” icon on their icon. Most do not. Any idea what it is and how I would go about deleting it?

Hi
You can check this by clicking the Conditional Formatting icon from the Primary Toolbar at the far left-hand side of the canvas. From there, you should be able to hide or remove any rules that are not relevant to your document.
