Is there a way to make all lines in a completed chart be smart lines without redoing them all manually? and still have the lines connect at the points of a diamond no to the side of the point?

I’ve responded similarly in your post below, but adding this here too. If select ‘View’, then ensure that ‘Enable line connections’ is selected, all your lines and shapes should behave as smart lines. Does that result in the experience you’re hoping for?

Thanks for reaching out to Lucidchart support. Unfortunately it is not possible to change all lines in a chart into smart lines in a non-manual way or to define which part of the shape a smart line should attach to.
However we're always looking for ways to improve Lucidchart and your feedback is the best way for us to do that. Would you mind adding your idea to our feature request form? Ideas submitted to this form are passed on to the product development team for their consideration.
