How long does revision history go back?

Question

When modifying a Lucidchart document, there appears to be an infinite history, which is great for roll-back and seeing previous versions.

So my question is, how long is the history and can it be truncated? (OK, that’s two questions)

I have several documents that are maintained by creating a duplicate page which is then modified and eventually becomes the new version of the page, after which the original page is deleted. Over time, the document will contain more deleted history than live data.

I am also curious to know how this is managed for templates. Does a template truncate all previous history, or is it retained and becomes part of any new documents created from the template?

Thanks ​@Becca G. I’ve not noticed a performance impact on any specific document, although I do see it when I have multiple documents open at the same time. I will monitor to see if there are any documents in particular and reach out if anything comes up.By the way, I found the document ‘history size’ in the file information and this confirmed that documents created from a template don’t inherit the template history.
