How do I remove the extra space/grey border around my Lucidchart canvas?
Hi, I have two (potentially related) issues:
I cannot figure out how to remove the gray space (border) around my document. I read a similar post, and someone responded that zooming in or adjusting the scroll bars could resolve the issue. I have tried this, as well as modifying document settings.
In Infinite Canvas mode, the gray space goes away, but my project is far down on the canvas. When I move my project up, the vertical scroll bar at the right readjusts, so my project remains in the same location within the canvas.
Hopefully this is a quick fix, thanks in advance.

Hi @jleb ,
Thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! To help me better understand the issue you are experiencing, could you please send either a screenshot or screen recording?
Thanks in advance for your help and patience!
Yes, apologies, here is an example when Infinite Canvas is not selected:
Here is an example of me trying to move the diagram to the top when Infinite Canvas is not selected. I don’t think the video picks it up, but the scroll bar and canvas is “resetting” so that the flow chart can’t be adjusted to the top of the canvas.
Thanks, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @jleb ,
Thank you for sending those screenshots!
To rule out browser-related issues, can you confirm if this happens when you open your document in a private or incognito window? For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post (in English). Additionally, can you confirm what web browser you are using, and try opening your document in an alternative browser?
If that doesn’t fix the issue, can you confirm whether this happens in just one of your documents? Or does it happen across multiple different documents?
Thanks for your patience!
The issue remains when I open the document in an incognito window, as well as Chrome (was initially using Edge). This issue remains when I open another document as well.
Any thoughts on a resolution...is there no way to adjust the space within the website? Or is that usually done via the margin adjustment (which I tried)?
Hi @jleb ,
Thank you for trying those steps! Can you please send a temporary Support PIN for this document? This will allow me to take a closer look at the issue you’re experiencing. For more information on generating a Support PIN, check out this Help Center article.
