I created a Lucidchart with simple rounded rectangles to build an idea. Once I had all the object identified, my intention was to change shapes according to their context. However, when I click an existing object, the change shape icon does not appear above it.

I can create a new object and see the change shape icon, but I want to go through the objects I already created instead of making new ones. Is there a way to enable the change shape option or reset the document to allow this to happen?

Thank you!

Thank you @Humas1985 for the link to the change shape post. I was able to find in the comments the root cause of my issue:

“ The change shape feature will only work for ‘Flowchart’ or ‘Geometric’ shapes and are limited to shapes in the same library.”

The existing object in my screenshot came from the “Standard” shapes category, and it looks like they are not able to be changed. The new object in my screenshot came from the “Flowchart” shapes category. I’ll be using this category moving forward.

@CentricJason - Thanks for the update!

I'm happy to hear that you found the issue and a solution. Good to know about the shape category limitation.
