How do I convert an Excel sheet into a process diagram in Lucidchart?

Hi,

More of a confirmation question → is the only way to convert an excel/csv to a lucid diagram by copying or downloading the template from this help article https://help.lucid.co/hc/en-us/articles/15927090927508-Create-a-process-diagram-from-CSV-import ? I imported an csv document (not in the exact format from the template) and while i can drag and drop there are things i can’t convert. For example in the csv i have ‘roles’ which should be in swim lanes but when i drag and drop there isn’t an option to put it into a swim lane. I attempted to change the data settings but role, swim lanes, etc were not options to convert.

Hi ​@rvassilatos, thank you for your post! Would you mind clarifying what you mean by ‘Drag & drop’ and the ‘Roles’ that aren’t being placed in the swim lane?Since Lucidchart’s CSV export uses the same format as its import you could also try exporting an existing Lucidchart diagram as a CSV file to use as example of how your file should be formatted.Please let me know if you have any questions!
