I am recreating a building Floor plan to exact scale so am having to drag wall ends to get the correct size, but often the shape skews so it is not properly in line or at 90 degrees.  Is there any way to prevent this?

Hi @Chris Mac, thank you for posting in the Community!

Good catch on the Shift key! There are a few more tips that I believe would be helpful if you are building a floor plan to exact scale.

I recommend using the Scale shape and confirm your units match. Starting with the right scale saves a lot of resizing later.

Additionally, making sure the Snap to Grid setting is enabled. That helps walls align cleanly and prevents angle shifts that can happen when you are dragging objects freehand.

For further tips on Floor plans, I suggest going through the following Community posts:

I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Cheers!
