I see a bug - everytime I open a scheme I see opened window of Lucid AI. I need to disable that. I don't want to use it!

Hi @RayHaynes, thank you for adding to this thread with your comment. Jumping in here to help!

At this time, it is expected for the Lucid AI panel to pop open automatically on some accounts. Unfortunately, disabling the Lucid AI panel from automatically appearing isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. I’ve shared your feedback here directly with our product team.

I’ve also gone ahead and converted this post into an ‘idea’, so that this post is now logged as feedback within the Product Feedback section of this community. This will allow other users with similar requests to discover and upvote this idea, and add their own details of what they’d like to see. This is also now available to our product team as they continue to research new features and enhancements!

Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:

Hi @alfacentavra17. Thanks for posting in the Lucid community! Is this happening in multiple documents or one specific document? Could you also send a screenshot of what you see when you open a scheme?

I have recently noticed the same problem. Each time I open a drawing the AI pops up undocked and active. If I dock it and click the icon (blue plus) to close it all is good. But when I reopen the drawing it’s back and undocked. Is this normal operation?

Hi Ambar,
Thank you for converting this into an idea.
I do understand how proud your product team is of new AI features. But that dialogue is very annoying; especially, as it is utterly useless for my workflow.
Enabling a feature and not allowing users to turn it off is IMHO a very bad practice.

Hi @Aleksander K, thank you for your honesty here.

I can certainly understand why you’d want a different experience here, and I appreciate you showing your support for this idea. Our product team has been made aware of this feedback directly!

Surely this would be a simple task of hiding the AI panel instead of opening it when a user starts editing. Opt In, rather than Opt Out. If I can click the ‘X’ at the top right, this means that the box can be hidden, so there’s absolutely no reason to display the box from the start - let people choose whether they want to see it or not.

This needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. If this continues much longer, I will cancel my subscription and find another program. I didn’t ask for AI, I don’t want AI. As a paying customer, I should have the option of turning it off. It’s disruptive and annoying, and, quite frankly, I get the feeling I’m being watched. It’s very creepy.
