Question

Floor Plans can't display fractions of inches? This is kind of ridiculous.

I’ve gone through all of the help settings to try to draw floor plans to the 1/2” or even 1/8” but apparently without tricking it, Lucid can’t do this?  Am I missing something?  I just can’t see how a floor plan designer can be that useful if you can’t make those adjustments.  I’m evaluating the software now and definitely won’t continue past the trial period unless there is something I’m missing.  I even tried to trick it to display 1/8” as 0.125 but that doesn’t seem to work either.  I mean, I know this isn’t a CAD program but that functionality should be built in.

Hi @JayP

Lucidchart’s Floor Plan tools support creating plans to scale and using inches as the measurement unit. However, if you need wall dimensions displayed or entered specifically as fractional inches such as 1/2″ or 1/8″, Lucidchart may have limitations compared with dedicated CAD applications. Entering a decimal such as 0.125 may not provide the expected fractional-inch display.

Hope this helps !!

Thanks I understand that from reading the articles.  I just think it’s a really big shortcoming.  Noone builds plans that way.  Even the most basic competing software can do this.  I canceled my subscription.
