When trying to export a diagram with an Umlaut (ä, ö, ü, etc. in my case capital ‘Ö’), in the chartname I always got the message ‘Due to the size of this document, it may take some time to generate your file. Please keep this document open until your download is complete’. After waiting some time in front of the open document, a message pops up ‘An error occurred. Failed to download’.
Removing the Umlaut from the chartname fixes the issue.
It took me about an hour to find the error, a more concise error message would be nice.

@Pete at ComServ this seems more like a recommendation than a question. Can you repost this to Product feedback? That way the community can upvote it so that it gets into the next iteration of Lucid.

Unsure now how to proceed. The error was not in the chartname at all - copying all elements to a new chart and saving with umlauts worked - some conditional formatting was missing, which brought me to the idea - removed conditional formatting from the original document and export works. I will try to condense all this to one post on product feedback.

Hi @Pete at ComServ, thanks for your post and thank you @aparrish for chiming in!

Since removing the conditional formatting allowed the export to work, it is possible that some of the data in the document had become corrupted.

Could you please let us know whether removing and reapplying the conditional formatting prevents the issue from recurring?

We appreciate your help and patience!
