How do I edit text I've already added without the original text disappearing?

Thanks for reaching out in the community! In order to edit text without deleting all the previous text you will need to click one more time after double clicking into the text of a shape so as to un-select the highlighted text but remain in the text editing mode. The Select Text section of our Work with Text article further explains the functions for highlighting/un-highlighting specific sections of text to make edits.
