I have a data source from an excel sheet, it includes a column for web address to the object that I'm tying this data to. In the shape, I can see the weblink in the data panel and its blue like a hyperlink. But, I am unable to click it. I'm using the data source as the ground truth table in case we need to replace an item and the address or data point changes like a serial number. so far I am still unable to assign the ‘web address’ field in my data source to the shapes link in any meaningful way outside of doing it manually using a url, page, or document. I've even looked into formulas in the text field below the shape, but cant find a way to make it clickable.

Any solution to this? feedback is welcome!

Thanks!

Hi @irqisequalto, thank you for posting in the community and apologies for the delayed response! If possible, would you mind sharing a screenshot of what you are seeing to help us take a closer look? Alternatively, could you share a temporary Document Support PIN for this document? This will help me take a closer look at what’s going on. This PIN is safe to post in this thread because it is only accessible by members of the Lucid support staff. You can find steps for generating a Support PIN in this Help Center article

Thank you in advance for your help! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Hi @irqisequalto

In data‑linking workflows, there isn’t a built-in, fully automatic way to map spreadsheet rows to existing shapes based solely on an ID or key field. Shapes generally need to be linked manually through Lucid’s data-linking tools or connected via custom integrations, rather than through universal key-based matching across diagrams.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
