I've been tackling this issue for more than three hours convinced that the problem lies within the imported data. To my surprise it turns out that the Lucid chart is unable to add links between shapes even though the link information is present in the CSV.

I manually built a chart with multiple lines and exported it as CSV however my attempts to import that same CSV and recreate the chart have been met with failure.

In need of assistance as soon as possible. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows a workaround your guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Hi Preetham

Thank you for posting your question in the Lucid Community! Please take a moment to review our Process Diagram Import from CSV article. It will walk you through the formatting necessary for a proper import and help you identify elements of your CSV that may need to be edited.

Unfortunately we don't currently support the functionality of exporting your flowchart as a CSV and then importing it. The main usage of our flowchart functionality is users importing their CSV from the SQL database into Lucidchart and our functionality for manual creation and exporting of the Lucidchart data is not as robust.

However we're always looking for ways to improve Lucidchart and your feedback is the best way for us to do that. Would you mind adding your idea to our Product Feedback section? Ideas submitted to this form are passed on to the product development team for their consideration.

My apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for adding your thoughts here. Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Hello Addie

Thanks for your quick response. Just to clarify the problem is that simply importing CSV data only renders objects not the lines specified in the data. I have verified the content and format of the CSV data with my colleagues and confirmed that the required format has been applied.

I will be happy to email you a CSV of our (non-confidential) data if you need it.  However as of now LucidChart does not appear to be functioning correctly. Please advise. Thanks!

Agreed,  this feature still not seemed to be working.
