Copy and paste to clipboard option from Lucid to external documents is a deal breaker to me and it is such as easy feature to add. I am not sure what you are waiting for.

I am not sure why not automate the step to copy selection to clipboard as an image instead of having the user export to PNG and then copy the PNG to paste into another document. Please make your customers lives easier!

Select→ export to PNG → copy PNG → paste into document (Not convenient - too many steps)

Select → copy → paste to document (Intuitive, convenient and supported by many other competitive tools but not Lucid)

My harddrive is full of exported PNGs just to copy and paste them into external docs! This is wastefull.

I hope you care about your customers!

@ahmed.sobhy Lucid already has the ability to right-click to paste into Lucidchart:

However, if you’re looking for more, please upvote this suggestion and add your voice to the comments section:

Hi @ahmed.sobhy, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community and thank you for leaving your product feedback on this experience in the thread below as @aparrish suggested, that’s a great method for letting our product team know what you’d like to see.

Indeed at this time, you can select an image or a set of shapes and export as a PNG, and the steps are shown below.

Steps to export an image as a PNG
Steps to export shapes as a PNG

You can also try doing so by simply copy/pasting, without going through the export process. Where are you hoping to paste the PNGs into? In my experience, this works well with Google Docs and I’ve heard others had good experience when pasting into PowerPoint.

Thanks for confirming @ahmed.sobhy. Unfortunately, this isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products.

If you’d like to leave additional feedback, I know our product team would love to hear from you in the post below.
