Actions:

  1. Create a collapsible / expandable object with a bunch of sub objects.  The sub objects include basic shapes, grouped shapes, and other collapsible / expandable objects.
  2. Collapse or Expand the main object

Problem:

About 50% of the time the sub objects get removed from the main collapsible / expandable object

This problem seems to happen even more frequently if the collapsible / expandable object is added (drag and drop) to a parent object.

Hi @Clifford.Dickinson, would you mind clarifying what types of shapes you’re using? Could you provide a screenshot or screen recording to help me take a closer look?

At this time, collapse and expand is available for frames and containers, so I’d love to take a closer look at your shapes to see what might be causing some of what you’re seeing.

@Clifford.Dickinson since you posted this yesterday, I’m not sure if you saw what was posted Thursday. The collapse/expand functionality is new. They’ve been working on the feature since October so you no longer have to deal with layers. It is all explained here:

@aparrish The link you posted is actually how I learned about the Collapse / Expand capability.  My post about it is the first reply to that post.

Even a ‘New’ feature should work for most situations.

This feature seams more like an ‘Alpha’ test.  I am a developer.  I can tell the difference between something in alpha testing and betta testing.  This feature has so many flaws and inconsistencies that there is no way it would be a betta testing level.  I had problem after problem after problem on the very first time I tried to use it.
