Challenge with ordering ADO Cards in Timeline

Hi, I regularly use the timeline functionality within LucidSpark with an embedded query to ADO.

I have noticed that recently it’s quite challenging to trying and reorder the display of the cards, to a logical order and to make sure that the timeline/gantt chart isn’t too large.

The timeline is organised by parent and sprint.

Can anyone help me unpick this quite frustrating issue?

Hi @KSpence,

This is a topic I run into a lot :) I typically use Dynamic tables for this reason… timeline function in general does not work great with ADO.  I typically create the dynamic table, then stick a timeline above it to match my sprints with the dates.

That being said, this is a good use case for Lucid AI. I asked it to place an ADO card on the same row as the card above it if the dates don’t overlap:

So it kind of worked, but I still had to manually move things - which has the possibility of impacting my dates on the ADO card itself.   So given the limitation on timelines, my recommendation is to use dynamic tables until they make some QoL improvements to that feature.
