Hi,
With the advent of 2026, the UK and EU are discussing the implementation of Functional Equivalence with respect to data ownership.
Does this mean that Lucid will now start outputting diagrams in editable or functionally implementable formats, such as SVG? Just before anyone says that Lucid already outputs as SVG, yes it does, but this is a non-functional equivalent - the text cannot be edited or modified. This means that you are holding my designs to ransom.

Our current SVG export renders text as vector paths to ensure that diagrams appear exactly the same regardless of the fonts installed on a viewer's device. We recognize that this limits direct text editing.
For structured and machine-readable data, we provide an alternative export that captures the functional content of your diagrams:
The CSV of shape data export provides a solution for this by generating a file that includes all shape names and text fields as editable text strings.
