Alt code for NOT= (ALT+8800) is not working

Subject: Not-equal Alt code not working in Lucid text fields

Issue: Typing Alt+8800 does not insert the  symbol in Lucid text fields.

Expected result: The shortcut should enter  as it does in other apps.

Actual result: A different character appears instead, or the shortcut does not convert.

Notes:

  • The shortcut works in other applications.
  • I’m using a standard Windows Alt-code workflow.
  • This seems specific to Lucid’s input handling.

If you want, I can also turn this into a shorter support message or a more formal bug report.

Hi @hlsoto, thank you for posting in the community! I have raised this with our development team for investigation and will share an update here as soon as I have more information.

In the meantime, I recommend copying/pasting the  symbol as needed to help continue your work. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you for the all the responses, although they all say the same thing.  I’m aware of the work around the feedback was for you to address if you believed it is important.  The work around is not convenient since the system does not have a bugger of saved character to select every time I have to find such character to copy and paste.
At any rate, please stop sending me messages on this matter.  For all intent in purposes I was just trying to help you improve your product.
thank you,
Hlsoto
