I have a diagram with a couple swimlanes that I’m attempting to shorten after making revisions. When I do so, the title/header for the swimlane also shrinks where you can no longer see what is shown (see pic below).

I haven’t been able to find a way to manually adjust the width of this so the full title is shown, and it seems like auto-sizes based on the width of the entire lane. Is there a way to adjust this?

Hi @turtletacos314

Thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! To help me take a closer look at the issue you are experiencing, please provide the following information:

  • What steps are you taking to adjust the width of your swim lanes?
  • Could you share a temporary Document Support PIN for this document? This PIN is safe to post in this thread because it is only accessible by members of the Lucid support staff. You can find steps for generating a Support PIN in this Lucid Help Center article: Generate a Lucid Support PIN.

Thanks in advance for your help and patience!

Here is the temporary support PIN: du9RH9dOt192F1200574244

I’ve tried clicking on the swimlane header and adjusting/dragging it to enlarge it but this doesn’t seem to do anything. The header size automatically adjusts when I increase/decrease the swimlane width.

Hi @turtletacos314

Thanks for sending this support PIN! It looks like the shape you've selected is not a swimlane. The top image shows your current shape, which doesn't allow you to adjust the header's width. The bottom image shows our swimlane shape, which allows you to resize the header.

I would recommend replacing the shapes you currently have to our swimlane shape. You can find swimlanes by clicking on the “Container” icon in the left toolbar and selecting from our available swimlanes.

Please let me know if you run into any issues with this!

I have a similar problem, and I am using swimlanes.  I found the solution: turn off Assisted Layout.  This will allow you to adjust the header height (for vertical swimlanes) or header width (for horizontal swimlanes).  Make your changes and then you can turn Assisted Layout back on.

Hi @Mike Laufer

I’m glad to hear you were able to find a solution! Thank you for sharing!
