adding notes is not possible on the custom shapes I created.
Is this function not available for custom shapes ?

Hey Joel! Once you have a shape on the canvas you can simply right click on it. You will see several options appear and one of those options says "Add Note." Select that option and a note text box will appear next to your shape. I have attached a screenshot of the options that you should see when you right click on your shape.
