For an online course with 1,500 students, can a single Lucid board effectively support simultaneous collaboration? I’m considering utilizing the breakout boards feature for grouping, but I anticipate potential logistical challenges. What solutions would you recommend for facilitating collaboration among such a large class size?

Hi @isaacwkc

A single Lucid board will not practically support 1,500 students collaborating synchronously; you will need to segment them into many small groups and stagger real‑time work

  • Lucidspark boards tend to work best with about 100 active collaborators, with around 200 as a rough upper limit before performance and usability degrade.
  • You can create up to 50 breakout boards from a single Lucidspark canvas, which is ideal for splitting a large audience into smaller working groups
