Hello All,

I am an Embedded Systems Engineer and one my main uses for a product like LucidChart is to make block diagrams and I find the standard libraries lacking for some of the Electronics shapes.  I am looking for some shapes such as a Fuse or a basic Diode.

Does anyone know of a place where user generated shapes are shared for others to download and use?  Google hasn’t shown me any results so I am hoping someone here can point me to the right place.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi @dmilrtime

Sorry for the delayed response! I would recommend uploading an SVG shape and using this Help Center article to create a custom shape library. Hope this helps!

Hey Dave,

I am also looking for a shared library to pull from. I am trying to draw out a simplified diagram of industrial equipment, but cant seem to find the right shape to use. If you find one if you find one please share. I’ll do the same. Thanks for posting this question.

I believe Dave is not asking how to add to the library. If i am not wrong it seems he is asking if there is anyone who has created their own shapes and has added them to a downloadable document for others to use. It would be extremely helpful to have a place where ( if one would like to ) users who have created new shapes to share those shapes across the community.

Hi @IndustMaint_MP

Thanks for clarifying! There are two ways you could do this:

  1. If you have a Team or Enterprise account you can share custom shape libraries with other Team/Enterprise users by following the directions in this Help Center article
  2. Another option is to share the document with another user, and then they can drag and drop the shape into a custom library.

However, there is not a space in the community currently to share shapes. If you would like for this to be an option in the community, please add this as an idea to our Product Feedback section.
