Jira Card Sync Issue

Hi there. I converted ~ 10 cards to JIRA issues in my diagram. However, it looks like the cards are stuck trying to sync between Jira and Lucid Note: other cards converted individually worked fine

Mermaid generate diagram can't be imported to google doc

Hey there, It’s super cool to see that Lucid is going to support Mermaid. However it seems not working well with google doc. I used to use UML generated diagram, it can be import to google doc via Lucid add-on. It’s very convenience when I make a change in the diagram. I just need to click update image in the google lucid add-on. I hope you are aware of this issue of Mermaid and can fix it ASAP. Thanks

Community-created and shared library of shapes

Hello All, I am an Embedded Systems Engineer and one my main uses for a product like LucidChart is to make block diagrams and I find the standard libraries lacking for some of the Electronics shapes. I am looking for some shapes such as a Fuse or a basic Diode. Does anyone know of a place where user generated shapes are shared for others to download and use? Google hasn’t shown me any results so I am hoping someone here can point me to the right place. Thanks, Dave

Lucidchart poor performance, throws errors , hard to load and work with

We are using it for mission critical jobs and it is letting us down. These are powerful machines with 128Gb RAM and terabytes of SSD with latest spec intel CPUs.

We cannot upload image to any lucidchart

Starting from yesterday we cannot upload any more images to existing lucid chart or spark document. We tried different browsers, incognito etc.

Export Lucidchart Diagrams for Approval in QMS System

Hi All, We have a specific requirement where we need export the Lucidchart diagram and route the file in QMS system for approval. Once approved, business users go back to the same file in QMS, download it, import it in lucid, revise it and then again route for approval after exporting. What would be the best format to export the Lucid File: Visio CSV of Shape Data We are leaning more towards “CSV of Shape Data” since it would cause less confusion as to whether go to Visio or to Lucid for revising. Question: Does the “CSV of Shapes” export retain all the data inside it and there is 100% guarantee that what we get after importing is completely similar to what we had before the export in Lucid? Are there any limitations to exporting as “CSV of Shape Data”

Repeatable Data linked Shape library

I am trying to create a library of shapes with pre mapped data links. What I would like to be able to do is to create a template and accompanying google sheet, that I can create multiple versions of and use this as a way to repeatably used the same shapes, in different diagrams, with each chart having its own unique set of data, without having to manually link each shape each time I produce a new chart. I have tried everything I can think of, I have created a library of shapes, data linked but unless you are using copies of the same chart with the shapes already on the page pulling them from the library and then uploading the data DOES NOT work. Even though the shapes in the library maintain the data fields, and identifiers and the data source uploaded has the exact same data and identifiers. I would really appreciate any help on this issue, I have been hitting my head against this for a little while now. Is this just not possible? I feel it must be and there is something I am missing

custom chape change default line

Hello In the expanded shapes library, I saw a shape I want to use. Within Lucidcharts, that shape has a purpose. I want to use this shape for a completely different one. There seems to be a default line style associated with this shape. I want to change it but using the set default style button doesn't work. I have also tried adding this shape as a ‘custom shape’ but the original purpose of the original shape remains. Can anyone help me? The original shape is: Enity Relationship > EnityAt the top, you can see the linked line style. At the bottom is what I would like to have. Thanks in advance

Smart Container Formula shows "ERROR!" when displaying in container

I have a Google Sheet linked to a Series of Smart Containers. The Container has a formula that adds up the Total Man Hours and Estimated Man Hours. The formula works, until I ask it to display in the container then it creates errors. It also moves the container out of order and puts it at the bottom. Video of Problem As a side note, if I move a shape between containers, shouldn’t it also update the Google Sheet? Also, how do I refresh the data and have it appear in the shapes?

SVG export results in invalid IDREF on a use element

Some of the diagrams created in Lucidchart by my team export to SVG with an invalid xlink href attribute value on a use element. For example, the href may refer to #i when there is no element in the SVG file with an ID attribute set to “i”. Deleting this use element “fixes” the invalidity. Ideally, I would like Lucidchart to always export valid SVG XML. This is an enormous impediment to my team. While I’m investigating workarounds for fixing the invalid reference, the much better fix would be for Lucidchart not to export invalid SVG XML.

I have requirement to add various objects on a LucidSpark diagram at various points on a meeting. I’ve been searching for a while, but can’t find a way to do this. I was wondering if you have a macro-language, or some other way of recording a script of events to replay at some triggered time?

Can I import an .mdj file to lucidchart?

We have made a datamodel in StarUML but we would like to migrate to lucidchart. StarUML uses an .mdj file when you export a project. We would like to know if it is possible to import this file in lucidchart. Thanks in advance for the help! PJB

How to permanently change the default text color.

I really don’t understand why Gray was chosen as the color for the default text color, but regardless I would like to change it and have it as gray and not need to change it anytime I log in or drop a box in my Lucid document. I don’t want it just to set as a default for the session, I want it always this way.

Using Lucid Dynamic Tables for a Product Roadmap

Hello, We have started to use Lucid Dynamic Tables during our Big Room Planning and continue to use it as a product roadmap over the quarter. Currently have a mix of questions / feedback for this, hoping someone can help: The JQL query brings in tickets from a sprint which has been completed, yet the completed sprint does not show in the dynamic table. How can we keep these sprints visible? Searching within the Lucidspark document, I am not able to search for the ticket number in a Lucid card - is there plans for this in the future? When trying to add notes into a field within the dynamic table, with the column and row set to attributes in Jira (i.e. Epic Link and Sprint), the note understandably moves into a “Not Set” column / row. Would be amazing if the notes stayed where they were placed and then the fields relating to the column / row choice were automatically filled in when converting to a Jira issue The sync option for a dynamic table adds / removes Jira tickets based on the JQL

Need Formula for text copy to another location same as excel equal function

I need a formula for with in the page if i change one text the other references of the text also changes automatically same as excel. ( bottom text is main entry string and above two automatically update as per the bottom text string)

Import AWS Data Using Parent Account AssumeRole

Hi,The way we have our accounts set up is that we login to a parent account and then switch roles to the other accounts. Thus, we use AssumeRole to access other accounts such as Stage or Prod environments. How can I set up Lucidscale to access these accounts and scan them for data? I’ve managed to use Cross-Account Role but that only works for accessing the parent account. How do I allow Lucidscale to switch roles and access the other accounts data? Thanks, Mike Brizic
