You can create your own custom templates in Lucid and create new documents from those templates. Another feature that may be useful for your use-case is embedding your document which allows you to embed an interactive version of your document.

I have the same question as the original author and would love to know if there was any implementation of this by now. I have to build a very complicated, large flowchart. I want to link data to that chart and create a custom shape to display all that data in the best way possible.
There is no way that I’ll be able to create the perfect shape upfront, so if I can’t replace a shape template and have the entire chart update accordingly, I will waste a lot of time just replacing shapes in my chart, every time I make a tweak to the base shape itself.

I hope there is a way to either replace a template (and have all existing shapes that use that template update) or bulk-replace the shape of a selection, while maintaining the existing data linking associations.

Thank you for the comment, @PlenopticC ! While it’s possible to create custom shapes and add it to a custom shape library in Lucid, there unfortunately isn’t currently a way to bulk-replace shapes the way you have described.
