Remove default Bold setting on connector Line label text

When adding a line and then double clicking to create a text label, the text is configured to be bold as a default. How can I reconfigure the default setting so that the Text is not bold?

Hi @joshua.armistead, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! To configure default settings, you will need to deselect all objects, then select your desired settings (fill color, line style, text font and size, etc.). Any new shapes added to the canvas will then reflect those settings.

Unfortunately, line labels do not currently reflect those default settings, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Wow, two years later, and this is still an issue. Does anyone at Lucid actually care about fixing basic usability problems?

A user raised this exact issue two years ago, and your response was the usual “unfortunately, line labels…” explanation. Did anyone actually do anything about it? Apparently not.

This is incredibly frustrating. Lucid is becoming more annoying and less user-friendly every day. Instead of repeating the same excuses, please provide a clear answer: Is this feature being worked on, and if so, when will it be available?

Thanks so much for following up on this! Good news — we are currently making improvements to Lines, and this is something the team is actively working on. I don't have an exact timeline to share yet, but it's on the roadmap. I'll make sure to update this thread as soon as I have more details. Thanks again for your patience and for flagging this.
