I need to add RU labeling to network racks.  The number needs to grow/shrink as the rack itself grows and shrinks.

This is standard practice in Visio, Vectorworks, and other diagram programs.

Hi @EOS_Sean, thanks for your post! Unfortunately, this isn’t currently supported in Lucid. The best workaround will be to add a text box and group it with the server rack shape.

However, we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:

Thank you for sharing your ideas and feedback in the community! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Hello Leianne ,

Essentially I’m a network engineer who needs to design small, medium, and large networks both at the macro and rack level.   This includes overhead designs and including rack designs.   For me, the rack designs is where I need as much detail as possible.   This includes being able to import a rack design from Visio, and relate the rack unit spacing to the diagram and show what devices are taking up which rack units.   Some racks are only 12u, some are 42u,  some are 44-45u.   This varies depending on the network.   I can do this in Visio, but I’d rather work in Lucid as its better for my workflow as I’ve used Lucid in past orgs.  This is a high priority for me and my leadership, but if Lucid cannot do this,  I’ll have to learn a different collaborative platform.    Help me
