Hi everyone,

I'm new to Lucidchart and I'm trying to create a software architecture diagram for an embedded project using Zephyr RTOS.
Since I haven't used Lucidchart for this purpose before, I'm not sure which type of diagram or template is most suitable.

Does anyone have experience with Lucidchart in the context of embedded software or RTOS architectures?
Is there a recommended template or example that works well for Zephyr-based systems (e.g. showing components like threads, drivers, peripherals, IPC mechanisms, etc.)?

To give you a better idea of what I’m working on, I’m uploading a sample of my current diagram.
I’d really appreciate any feedback, suggestions for improvement, or advice on better ways to visualize the architecture.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @higginsa1, thank you for your patience! Unfortunately, we currently do not have any Zephyr RTOS templates in Lucid. However, you can create a custom template using standard shapes as well as swimlanes and containers to help structure your board. I’ve attached an example screenshot of these shapes below:

I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Hi @higginsa1, thank you for posting in the community! Let me check with our template experts for any recommendations. In the meantime, I recommend checking out our Lucid Template Gallery  to browse the different templates we have to offer. You can also create your own templates - see this Start with a template article from the Lucid Help Center for more information.

I hope this helps! Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.
