Is there a way to turn off cursor broadcasting so other people can't see where your cursor is?

Hey Joe,

Thanks for keeping this thread going! Unfortunately, this isn’t yet supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Hi Dilution thanks for posting! Collaborator cursors can be turned off by selecting the eye icon next to the collaborator initials in the top right corner of your screen. I recommend reviewing our Collaborate and Share article from the Lucid Help Centre for more information on this.

Emma D your response does not address the question. The question is "Is there a way to turn off cursor broadcasting so other people can't see where your cursor is?" Your response addresses seeing other people's cursors on your screen.

Is there a way to turn off broadcasting on my end so others cannot see my cursor? Your answer requires the other people to turn off the cursors on their end.

This is a common frustration in an online meeting a presenter opens the document and shares their screen with all participants. I like to also open the document on my computer so I can zoom closer and navigate as I want. However everyone on the meeting has to be distracted by my cursor flying around the screen shared unless I interrupt the presenter and ask him/her to turn off collaborator cursors.

Hey Andy

Thank you for keeping this conversation going! Unfortunately at this time the show cursor check is the only way to turn off cursors for yourself and others. As you mentioned unchecking this box will turn off cursors for you as the viewer. You would need your collaborators to do the same if you would prefer they not see your cursor.

Hi Phillip! It's been a year -- has there been any movement on this? My mouse movements are extremely distracting for other participants. Can I turn off broadcasting my cursor?
