I am not sure if this is an AI question:  Can LucidChart create cloud infrastructure diagrams from Terraform code? If yes, does the code need to be uploaded to Lucid or can I link it to a GitHub repository that contains the code?

Hi @SJLiu, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! To best address your question here, I’ve gone ahead and broken off your comment into a new thread so that it’s more easily accessible to other users and to our product team.

Unfortunately, Terraform file upload to convert into diagrams isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products.

At the moment, Lucid AI supports uploads of PDFs, images, documents, CSVs and TXT files. If you copy/paste Terraform code directly into the AI chat, Lucid AI can try to summarize or reason about it as text. That may be the extent to which you can try this.

We’re still very interested in your feedback- If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread.

I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:

Thank you for the response. If Terraform is the source of truth for deployed infrastructure, using a “terraform code as a diagram” would be a fast, maintainable method for creating and maintaining infrastructure diagrams that can be used for a variety of customers like internal audit, SOC, ops, and help desk.

I will look at the Product Feedback section.
