I need to be able to copy and paste in mind map. I currently try to copy and paste and it pastes the whole mind map not the highlighted section.

Hi Jeremy, thanks for these screenshots. I was able to reproduce this and you’re correct - it’s not currently possible to copy only a portion of a mind map in Lucidspark, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. As part of the Product Feedback section of the community, others can view, upvote it and add details of their own.
Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:
This is a very handy feature as I work in this type of environment all day. I am doing engineering work and when I have to do this style flow for process and ticketing charts it makes it easy. I was using your competitor's product, and they allow copy and paste. It would save me time as I constantly have to repeat the exact same option in the boxes over and over. I have one flow in this one that has 12 legs and I had to type out text box 12 times just there and if I could copy it that would be way easier. Plus when I am building and want to copy a full part and do an enhancement i would have to fully recreate it and then update it.
This is such excellent detail
I hope this gets voted up. I like the style of the new revised Mind Map feature in Lucid Chart and Spark. but the inability to copy or duplicate one or several nodes to be used in other parts of the Map is a time suck.
1,000% yes. The feature that

This needs to happen now. The mind mapping tool is basically useless without this.
Hi everyone! I’m a PM here at Lucidchart and wanted to take a moment to thank you all for taking the time to record your feedback here — it really makes a difference in our ability to prioritize the right enhancements. This gap is on our minds, and more so for you all taking the time to share.
Hi
This really really needs to be fixed. Not only copy pasting within in a map but also between maps for reuse. This is fundamental functionality for any serious mindmap usage. For example I use it to track my teams work - I really really dont want to re-enter the same map parts (ongoing projects, personal, development goals, key dates, education etc) 12 times…
I completely agree that the copy feature in a mind map is essential. All other mind map tools, like Miro, support this functionality. This issue needs to be resolved promptly. I would prefer to continue using the Lucidchart mind map feature, but I can't afford to waste any more time recreating a mind map branch because the copy/paste feature isn't implemented.
Thank you for your usual diligence.
Any update on this?
Critical feature for larger mind maps.
Mind map unusable for me without this
Please prioritize this.
Hi
The status on this feature request is ‘Validating’, which means that our product team is currently scoping this feature out, and investigating requirements and implications. For additional context about how Lucid evaluates product feedback, I recommend checking out the post below.
The feature mentioned above would be extremely useful for me as well!
Thank you
